About Simpilo Syabwanta

Simpilo Syabwanta a Zambian, holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree and currently pursuing a PhD in Environmental Education. He is currently a Founder and Executive Officer of Advocacy for Climate Change Education. He worked as a Part-Time Tutor at the University of Zambia and Brand Ambassador at Bio Carbon Partners Zambia. He has 10 years’ experience in climate action as an educator, member of Africa Group of Negotiator and youth champion. He’s a member of YOUNGO, UNEP MGCY, Alumni of Nairobi Summit School on Climate Justice Cohort 2 and 3 and Alumni of Sustainable Development Solutions Network Cohort 2022. He has trained, empowered and mentored youths in climate action. He has attended both regional and international conferences such as Africa Climate Summit 2023, COP 27, COP 28 and Subsidiary Bodies 58. He’s passionate about Climate Education and Policy. He’s a critical thinker, writer, public speaker and team player. He is currently implementing the Climate Education Project in Zambia with a target to empower more than 6 million young people in the next five years.
